I Wub my Pappy

Cooper is one very lucky boy as he has two sets of amazing grandparents who just adore him and would literally walk to the end of the earth for him.

He has an amazing bond with my Dad. Whom he lovingly calls Pappy. Although i'm not sure who he loves more, Pappy or Pappy's motorbike.

On a recent visit down to see my parents, Dad (Pappy) decided it would be a good idea to make Cooper a sandpit for when he comes and visits. So next thing we know he's out there with Cooper removing bricks from the patio and creating every little boys dream, a sandpit. It was the cutest sight to see them getting all excited as each brick that was removed created a border for the sandpit. They then headed off in the car to get some sand. Two hours later they returned from good old Bunnings along with sand and of course a full supply of buckets and spades and they even stopped at the toy shop and got some trucks to complete the masterpiece. And being typically male Dad suddenly realised that he had built this sandpit only metres from the back door and that Mum probably wouldn't be impressed with the amounts of sand that was now going to be trapsed inside.

Oh well, what they do for their grandchildren hey ??

I think he thinks he is his mother

I'm fairly certain that Cooper actually believes that he is Blake's mother.

Today he actually tried to breastfeed him. In this photo he's about to pull his top up and can't understand why Blake isn't latching on.

Cooper was very much a booby boy. He fed from me until he was 16 months old and still to this day has to pat me on the boobs when he's cuddling me or when he needs some comfort before bed time. So you can imagine how worried I was about how he'd cope seeing 'his boobies' being used by his younger brother. So far so good thank goodness. He hasn't got jealous but he has tried to help Blake feed and thinks it's hilarious when he tries to get my nipple out of his mouth mid feed. Not so much for Mummy though.

As you can see he adores his baby brother so much.

Blake's Special Quilt

My gorgeous friend Kristi and I have known each other since our babies were first born back in 2006. Both Cooper & Vienna are just 3 weeks apart and we've been close friends ever since.

Cooper & Vienna shared their first kiss at just 3 months old!

Vienna now has a gorgeous little brother Aston who was born this year in May.

When Kristi found out that I was expecting another little boy and that his room was to be done in a nautical theme she created the most amazing gift and something that i'll treasure forever. She is not only a wonderfully creative person but a selfless gorgeous friend who I'm sure spent hours on this amazing quilt just for Blake.

Here is the little man enjoying his gorgeous gift.

Isn't it special!!!

We are so grateful, thanks so much Aunty Kristi xxx

Our first photography session as a family of four

My wonderful girlfriend Caroline has just started doing some photography professionally and offered to use us as guinea pigs for her first ever shoot.

So when Blake was only 2 weeks old she came and took some amazing shots, something we'll be able to treasure forever. I was a little worried about Cooper and what he'd be like but he was fantastic and loved getting his photo taken. Mum was there to help us just in case and Caz even took some photos of her with Blake too which turned out amazing.

My absolute favourite is the one with my three boys. I love my boys so much, aren't they gorgeous ??

You can see the rest of the shoot here on Caz's blog - such an amazing result considering it was her first ever shoot.

If anyone on the Gold Coast/Brisbane is after a portrait photographer I can highly recommend Caroline, she is one very clever woman.

One week old already

My little Blakey Boy is one week old already and yes i've already lengthened his name as I said I wouldn't LOL!!

He's such a happy and content little bubba and is such a booby boy like his older brother was, it's adorable. I didn't think it was possible but i'm loving feeding even more this time round. I think it's probably because I constantly have the idea of him being my last baby in the back of my head. He is being very good to his Mummy and feeding 4 hourly which is nice. He's already in quite a good routine.

I just can't stop smothering him in kisses and cuddles, but can you blame me ??

Introducing............ Blake Peter

As the sun came up on the 28th September 2008 we welcomed another precious boy into our lives.

Blake Peter was born 9 pound (yes OUCH) and he's so perfect and a healthy, happy little soul.
Cooper is completely in love and cannot leave him alone.

My birth was amazing, although seemed alot tougher this time but I think a lot of that had to do with my head space unfortunately. This will happen to you after 3 weeks of false labour I guess. Yet I was still very happy with how things turned out. I didn't get my water birth but my darling boy was born into a room filled with those who love him most. My gorgeous husband Luke and both my parents were there to welcome him. Dad did an amazing job videoing the entire saga and also captured the moments beautifully with his camera. Mum was once again a rock as she was with Cooper's birth and of course Luke did and said all the right things when I needed him too. Luke's mother Sue was at home with our darling Cooper waiting on the news that his new baby brother was born. They were able to come up to the hospital straight afterwards to meet him. Because I gave birth through the birthing centre I was able to go home straight away, so 5 hours later I was back home tucked in bed with my newest family member.

Here are some photos of our darling Blake. He most certainly suits his strong name.

My big boys daycare photo

Cooper is now going to daycare two days a week (sob sob)

I am very lucky though because he just loves it and is so in love with his teacher, Miss Vanessa. I have an incling that the feeling is mutual. My son is a heartbreaker, what can I say ??

Here is his class photo. Apparently he loved the camera and kept wanting to have another go, not sure where he gets that from ?? The poor kid has practically had the camera in his face since birth.
